Simple Golf Swing

I have been trying to improve my game for years. When I saw “The Simple Golf Swing”, I immediately thought it was another scam like those golf clubs that break if you don’t swing correctly or those large rings that you swing against to perfect your golf swing. And come on, “The Simple Golf Swing”, we all know a perfect golf swing like Phil Mickelson is anything but simple. I then read through some of the reviews and since the price of the book was so low, especially compared to the amount of money I lost to my buddies last year, I decided to give it a try because of the money back guarantee – I would only be wasting my time.

So I bought the book and I spent a few hours reading it from front to back twice. I even printed it out to bring with me to the driving range so I could go over anything that may have slipped my mind. I went out to the driving range three times in that next week to work on my swing.

Let me just put it this way, my buddies are convinced that I hired a local pro for lessons. In the first week of using the Simple Golf Swing I improved my handicap from a 20 to a 15. I improved my accuracy and really tightened up my short game as well. My first trial with the Simple Golf Swing was certainly going better than I had originally expected.

In the next two weeks, my results continued to improve. Using The Simple Golf Swing, I was able to really straighten out my drives and vastly improve my short game especially from 50 yards and closer.

I would’ve never dreamed of making such solid contact through 18 holes before reading the Simple Golf Swing. I have found myself in several situations where I would have laid up before for fear of hitting into a hazard. My swing has really dialed in though and my confidence has increased greatly. I can now go after the pin instead of laying up and eventually losing another skin. To top things off my playing partners, seeing me hit so well, asked me what I have changed. I gave a lesson and to a couple of them and they are all going to order the book now too.

I can honestly recommend The Simple Golf Swing even if you already think you are beyond golf books. Many people have had success with The Simple Golf Swing and you can read other testimonials on their website.

How To Stop Golf Slice – Tips And Tricks

The slice is probably the most common problem that all golfers encounter when playing. In fact, some golfers spend years in frustration trying to remedy slice. Usually, slice happens just when you think your tee shot is just fine. Suddenly, the ball starts to curve to the right and promptly misses the target.

There are many ways to cure slice. Let us start with developing a good grip. As you hold the club, your left hand and thumb should be along the shaft and is aligned toward your right eye. Your right hand should wrap over the left, with the palm resting securely over your left thumb. Your grip should not be too tight or too loose. Gripping the ball too tightly can cause the ball to hook. On the other hand, a weak grip will open the clubface and cause slice. Take the time to practice your grip. Make small adjustments and try new grips until you find one that works and that you are comfortable with.

Another important component in stopping slice is to develop and practice a good stance. You can achieve this by standing square to the ball with your feet spread as wide as your shoulders. Keep your right foot pointing straight ahead and your left foot pointing a little to the left. Make sure your elbows and shoulders are in a natural, relaxed and comfortable position. Remember that posture is very important. Try to avoid throwing your lead shoulder up in the air prior to hitting the ball. Ask your friends to watch you as you hit a drive to see if you have the so-called ‘uppity shoulder’.

Finally, by simply correcting your golf swing, your goal to stop slice is half done. Remember that a correct backswing involves the hands, arms, and shoulders in one fluid and smooth motion. Meanwhile, the right downswing involves turning the hips, keeping your eye on the ball and making sure that your head is behind the ball as you proceed to your follow-through.

These are just a few of the tips and techniques on how to stop golf slice. You can also try various drills to develop specific areas of your play. These drills strengthen and develop your golf skills for the better. Just keep in mind that you need to devote time and effort through constant practice in order to achieve your goal of stopping slice.

Beginner’s Tips and Tricks on Improvement of Golf Swings

I know you are just an amateur golfer who is out to have some fun. But even then you need to know a few tricks and tips to improve your golf swing. This will help you to play your corporate peers better and earn a few brownie points and give a fillip to your popularity. Let me give you a few handy golfing tips that will improve your swing super fast and you will soon start earning accolades on the field.

Correct swing tempo

The tempo of a swing and a pitching wedge while using a driver happens to be the same. Again when you take a full swing you get the same tempo, regardless of the kind of club you use. If you can maintain the consistency of your tempo, you will also be able to maintain the consistency in contact and this will lead to accurate shots.

If you wish to ensure a proper swing, you have to allow your arms to lead and using your arms you draw away the club smoothly. Then you have to allow your body to follow. And this stance will also shift your weight automatically from your left to right side because the left hips and shoulders turn obediently. Almost 90% of your body weight will rest on your back foot when you are performing the top of the swing.

When you are at the top of your swing and wish to gain some accuracy over your shot, pull with your left arm. And next, you shouldn’t ape the leading down swinging move performed by pros. They gain a lot of power from it, but you are an amateur golfer and such an action might result in the ball sliding forward and then you will experience slicing, weak shots.

Maintain the balance of your swing

Use the middle 3 fingers and turn the club loose. Then using your thumb you have to balance the club. The little finger will grip the club only when you are at the top of your backswing. You also have to turn your shoulders to an exact degree in such a way that your target and your club are in line. I always recommend this valuable exercise to work your left thumb under the shaft. This move will keep the club balanced and you will be ready for hitting.

Unless you know how to correctly grip the club, you won’t get a good hold nor will you be able to put it in the proper slot and of course making winning shots is completely out of the question. That is because you won’t be able to get the ball through properly.

Tips and Tricks for 300+ Yard Tee Shots

There are many golfers who believe they will never be able to hit long bomb tee shots like the professionals for a myriad of different reasons such as being too old or not being fast enough, many golf tutors have been able to successfully teach how to take a tee shot that goes 300 yards or more with plenty of different golfers of varying ages and abilities.

There are many basic changes you can make to your tee shots that can magically begin to pile on the power and distance of your drives which can slowly start getting closer to the goal. One of the first things to get addressed is the stance; you will need to have a wider stance than other shots such as iron shots and have the ball fairly far forward, preferably in line with your leading foot.

With the ball addressed in the correct position you can begin to practice your back swing, drivers will be used on a ball that is elevated on a tee which means we can’t ‘pinch’ the ball like we would with other shots, the only trouble is that this is where a lot of our power comes from. To make up for this drivers have a longer shaft which allows for a longer swing that allows us to gather significant club head speed when we hit the ball.

When taking our back swing we should be aiming to put more of our body weight on to the back foot and try to maintain this throughout the shot, if we don’t then we may not get the required loft and our tee shots are not going to go as far as we’d want. The down swing should be helped along by the rotation of our core; some golfers can try to add a bit more spice by allowing their hands to break as they make contact with the ball. This can alter the launch angle of your drive which again can have an undesired effect on your tee shot distances.

As you follow through some people may fall back slightly as their body weight being on the right foot and the swinging motion can throw you off balance, this is fine as the ball will have already left the club face by this point during your swing and be headed forward with the right angle and power.

Obviously you won’t suddenly be hitting 300yd+ drives initially but by bearing these tips in mind when you step up to the tee then you will slowly start to increase the yardage of your tee shots as you progress and become a stronger golfer.
